As you and I discussed, the process for the renewal of the Agreement is called out in Section 1.5 of the Agreement, which states that renewal is for two three year extensions. As you indicated in your letter of February 7, 2014, it is the intent of the UI to extend the current Agreement through the next City of Moscow fiscal year (September 30, 2015), with the goal to integrate the dispatch and fire/EMS services into the Agreement, which will require re-drafting the Agreement to accommodate those changes. As I indicated to you, the City responded to fairly extensive procurement/RFP process when the current Agreement was negotiated and approved and you have indicated that that process will not have to be repeated as we integrate the dispatch and fire/EMS service elements. I have attached the one-year extension letter, which has been executed as per UI requirements. I have also attached copies of your February 7, 2014 letter of renewal and the current Police Services Agreement UI-678. Ron, I appreciate the working relationship with the University and the City will continue to work in partnership with the UI to provide a safe and productive campus atmosphere. Thank you. c: Mayor Bill Lambert Moscow City Council David Duke, Police Chief Don Palmer, Finance Director Rod Hall, City Attorney ---PAGE BREAK--- June 30, 2014 City of Moscow 206 East Third Street PO Box 9203 Moscow, Idaho 83843 Gary Riedner, City Supervisor Subject: One-Year Extension to Agreement Number UI-678 Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration 875 Perimeter Drive MS 3168 Moscow, ID 83844-3168 Phone: [PHONE REDACTED] Fax: [PHONE REDACTED] The University of Idaho would like to request a one-year extension to your Contract for Police and Security Services number UI-678, dated August 171h, 2010, which effective date was October Pt, 2010.
