RESOLUTION NO. 2007 · 03 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW. A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, ADOPTING A CURRENT BIKE PATHS AND PEDESTRIAN WALKWAYS MAP FOR PURPOSES STATED WITHIN MOSCOW CITY CODE TITLE 11, CHAPTER 2; PROVIDING THIS RESOLUTION TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVAL. WHEREAS, the City has adopted Chapter 2 of Title II, Walkways and Bike Paths; and WHEREAS, the purpose of restricting bike paths and pedestrian walkways from general motorized traffic uses includes promotion of bicycle and pedestrian usage; and WHEREAS, since the last Bike Paths and Pedestrian Walkways map was adopted Febmary 5, 1991, the City has acquired more parks and more bike paths and pedestrian walkways; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to be able to enforce the bike paths and walkways provisions of the Moscow City Code in a way to ensure that bicyclers and pedestrians are safe and protected and encouraged to utilize such bike paths and walkways; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Moscow as follows: The City Council hereby adopts the map attached as Exhibit as the Bike Paths and Pedestrian Walkways Map dated January 2007 referred to in Moscow City Code§ 11-2-3. That this Resolution shall become effective as of the date of passage.
