RESOLUTION NO. 2013 - 06 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, IDAHO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NORTH POLK STREET SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDING THIS RESOLUTION TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PAS SAGE, APPROVAL, AND PUBLICATION ACCORDING TO LAW. WHEREAS, the Idaho Transportation Department (hereinafter "lTD") has submitted State/Local Agreement (Project Development) Project No. A013(448) STC-7874 N Polk St Safety Improvements Latah County Key No. 13448 (hereinafter "Agreement") stating obligations of lTD and the City of Moscow (hereinafter "City") for construction of North Polk Street Safety Improvements; and WHEREAS, lTD is responsible for obtaining compliance with laws, standards and procedural policies in the development, construction and maintenance of improvements made to the Federal-aid Highway System when there is federal participation in the costs; and WHEREAS, certain functions to be performed by lTD involve the expenditure of funds as set forth in the Agreement; and WHEREAS, lTD can only pay for work associated with the State Highway system; and WHEREAS, City is fully responsible for its share of Project costs; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Moscow as follows: That the Agreement for Federal Aid Highway Project A013 (446) is hereby approved; That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of City; and That duly certified copies of the Resolution shall be furnished to the Idaho Transportation Department. That this Resolution shall become effective as of 3 rd day of June, 2013. PASSED AND APPROVED by the Mayor of the City of Moscow, Idaho, this 3rd day of June, 2013.
