RESOLUTION NO. 94-16 WHEREAS, the most recent edition of the Moscow Comprehensive Plan was adopted by the Moscow City Council by Resolution on October 7, 1985; and, WHEREAS, the current comprehensive plan is inadequate because it designates insufficient land for commercial development of the type that is proposed at the location north of the north end of Baker Street, and this has been a recurring problem that has been brought to the Planning and Zoning Commission; and, WHEREAS, the Economic Development Council has gone through a process of identifYing appropriate land and an appropriate location for additional extensive commercial property specifically for the development of a high technology business park; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Idaho Code Section 67-6509, the Moscow Planning and Zoning Commission conducted two public hearings on August I 0 and August 24, 1994 on the matter of changing the designation on the comprehensive plan map for an area located north of the north end of Baker Street as designated on the attached map, which is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution as Exhibit and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Idaho Code Section 67-6509, the City of Moscow City Council conducted one duly published public hearing on September 7, 1994 at 8:30p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and Council of the City of Moscow, Idaho sitting as the governing board for Moscow, Idaho that the land use designation on the Comprehensive Plan Map for the area indicated on Exhibit be changed from its current desil:,mation of "MR" (Medium Density Residential) and "HR" (High Density Residential) to "EC" (Extensive Commercial), as recommended by the City of Moscow's Planning and Zoning Commission. The City Engineer is hereby ordered and directed to make the appropriate changes on Moscow's Comprehensive Plan Map.
