March 17, 1997 CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE Project: HARRISON/LOGAN/SEVENTH SANITARY AND STORM IMPROVEMENTS Project No.: 101-97 1. Connect an existing storm drain service lateral (for 634 S. Harrison) to the new storm drain main. The lateral had not been shown on the project's design plans because it's existence was unknown. Added Cost . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 425.00 2. Plumb an existing 8-inch catch basin lateral to the new storm drain manhole at Seventh and Harrison. The exact routing of this lateral was unknown until the trench for the new storm main was excavated. The better alternative for connecting the lateral required more work than described on the project':; design plans. Added Cost $ 450.00 3. Connect 4 sanitary sewer service laterals to the new main. This work had not been shown on the project's design plans. Added Cost . . . . . . . . . $ 1,475.00 4. Furnish and install 10 tons of additional cold mix to accomplish a better street surfacing repair on Seventh Street immediately East of Harrison. Extending the limits of cold mix beyond the edge of the trench edges in this area resulted in a higher quality, longer lasting traveled way. Added Cost $ 300.00 5. The length of 15-inch storm drain main given in the project plans pipe summary was 145 feet short of that actually required. Additional pipe and pipe bedding 'materials costs' only were required.
