December 15, 2008 CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 Project: Recycling Center Upgrade - 2008 1. Remove and replace additional asphalt pavement near the Recycling Center's southerly parking lot entrance. A particular high-use area of the existing asphalt surfacing had failed and needed replacement. Added Cost $5,500.00 2. Repair an existing keystone retaining wall corner and add steel post corner protective bollard. An existing eleven foot high exterior keystone retaining wall corner had been substantially damaged by the facilffy's daily bin removal and replacement procedure. This repair reinforced the damaged corner. A seven foot high concrete fil ed ductile iron pipe bollard was installed as a corner guard. Added Cost $4,600.00 3. Furnish and install additional metal railing along the top of the new concrete parapet wall. This railing was added as a guardrail and as a measure of deterring patrons from unloading waste at locations other than the chutes directly above the bins.
