MOSCOW POLICE DEPARTMENT 118 East 4th Street P. 0. Box 9203 Moscow, Idaho 83843 Tel: [PHONE REDACTED] Fax: [PHONE REDACTED] October 13, 2000 COPS Ramesa Pitts 1100 Vermont Ave. NW Washington, D.C. 20530 DAN WEAVER Chief of Police RE: Grant for ID02905 Moscow, City of 95CFWX2052 Dear Ramesa: Regarding our phone conversation of October 12, 2000 and the Departments request to extend the time period for accepting the grant from 90 days to January 1, 2001. The Moscow Police Dept was awarded a COPS Universal Hiring Program grant for one new, additional full-time officer with a start date of July 1, 2000. This grant will actually be a "supplement" of additional funding to our previous COPS award. The allotted 90 days for acceptance expired on Oct. 1, 2000. We are still very interested in accepting this award. We are currently putting together a program that would generate the necessary funding for our share, $70,251.00, of the total grant over a three-year time period. However, due to the complexity of the program it will take us at least two or more months to get everything finalized. We are asking for an acceptance extension of another 90 days, Jan. 1, 2001. Thank you very much for your consideration in this matter. L Signature of Law Enforcement Daniel L.
