Engineering Services Agreement Yard Waste Repairs/Renovations City of Moscow/Hodge and Associates 401 N. Jackson Moscow, ID 1. Furnish engineering design services for the project described as follows: a. Repair the top of the southerly retaining wall of the upper yard waste disposal area. b. Modify the top of the easterly retaining wall of the upper yard waste disposal area; as required to allow the other modifications herein described. c. Add a 'Ready Rock' type retaining wall along the northerly half of the easterly side of the yard waste disposal area that would allow offset disposal bins; location generally as shown on the preliminary design drawing by Dean Weyen attached hereto as Exhibit d. New guardrail-bumper rail-deflection assembly along the top of both the easterly and southerly repaired and modified walls of the upper yard waste disposal area; similar to previous preliminary design drawings prepared by Dean Weyen and attached hereto as Exhibit To include modification of the existing asphaltic pavement driveway area, as required. e. Modify existing yard waste disposal area entrance from Almon Street per preliminary design drawing Exhibit delivered to Hodge & Associates Inc. by Dean Weyen on March 12, 2008. f. Replace the existing asphaltic concrete paving under the yard waste disposal bin areas with cast-in-place structural concrete. g. Replace the existing asphaltic concrete paving in front of the main recycling bin drop-off area with cast-in-place structural concrete. 2. Design deliverables will include the following: a. Construction drawings: - Title sheet; - Base plan of recycling center; - Detail sheet(s) for wall repair, new walls, structural concrete, slabs, curbs, metal deflection assemblies; - Traffic Control Plan. b. Engineering calculations for the new retaining wall(s). c. Construction specifications (City standards may be referenced where applicable). One set of final approved construction plans (mylar) to City; with Engineer's seal. 3. Construction Management services will include the following: a. Prepare bid packet to include Invitation to Bid, Bid Proposal, Itemized Bid Schedule, Instructions to Bidders, Contract Conditions, and construction plans b. Conduct bid opening c. Analyze bids & make recommends for contract awarding d. Prepare Notice of Award e. Prepare contract documents f. Administer preconstruction meeting g. Conduct field inspections during construction h. Complete and submit pay requests i. Prepare project close-out documents j. Prepare and submit As-built drawings 4. Both parties agree to the following conditions: a. The City will provide Hodge & Associates Inc. with electronic copies of the site base map as obtainable from Architect. b. Hodge & Associates will meet with City staff on at least three separate occasions to review project design; once at the beginning of the project during preliminary design, once after first draft of the plans and specifications and once immediately prior to submittal of final plans and specifications. c. The City will sign off on final documents. d. Hodge & Associates Inc. will perform all construction management services, including bidding, contract administration and inspection. e.
