Motley-Motley Inc. ---PAGE BREAK--- Specifications & Bidding Conditions SECOND STREET RECONSTRUCTION- 2010 Washington to Jefferson City of Moscow, Idaho Specifications: All work to be in accordance with the City Standard Construction Specifications and Standard Drawings. I. Remove and dispose of 1 0 inches of the existing street; including the existing asphalt pavement, base aggregate and/or subgrade. The City's existing waste disposal site approximately 5 miles east of Moscow just south of Highway 8 (adjacent to the Latah Sanitation Landfill facility) may be utilized for disposal. 2. Compact subgrade to 95% minimum after removal of the 1 0 inches of surfacing. 3. Furnish and install geotextile fabric; City Standard or equivalent. 4. Furnish and install 6 inches crushed basalt aggregate; 95% minimum compaction. 5. Furnish and install4 inches of asphalt pavement; two lifts: 2.5" of base course (Class mix, 1.5" surface course (Class mix. 6. Furnish, install and maintain traffic control per MUTCD. 7. All work to be completed in 10 calendar days once it begins - and prior to October 5, 2010. 8. Work limits are as shown on the attached drawing. 1A. Soft Spot Repair: Excavate and dispose of an additional 12 inches of material below the 1 0 inch removal described above. Furnish and install geotextile fabric either separately from the fabric required above; or laid integrally with the fabric required above. Furnish and install 12" of%" crushed basalt aggregate compacted to 95% minimum. The quantity of soft spot repair is unknown; a quantity has been estimated for bidding purposes. Furnish a sealed, written and signed quote (on Contractor's form) to replace ten inches of the existing street surfacing on Second Street between Washington and Jefferson; all as per the specifications herein described. Deliver the quote to Pat Mink, Engineering Department Secretary at 221 E. 2"d St. (the Mann Bldg.) by 10:00 a.m., Prevailing Local Time, Wednesday, August 25, 2010. 2.
