As you've estimated, I understand that the approximate cost of the truck at that time will be approximately $675,000 of which the university will provide one half or approximately $337,500. This will become a budgeted item within the university so that the record stands clear of this commitment. I am sharing a copy of this response with Carol Grupp, Director of Human Resources and Risk Management, and Doug Knorr, Director of Purchasing so they will be apprised of this correspondence. Please call upon Doug to assist you with planning for the acquisition to appropriately comply with University of Idaho procurement requirements. The university is pleased to be able to work with you in planning for the eventual replacement of this equipment. The considerable advance planning is sincerely appreciated.
