RESOLUTION NO. 2014 - 15 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, IDAHO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, FOR PROJECT DEVELOPMENT OF MIDDLE SCHOOLS SR2S SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDING THIS RESOLUTION TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL, AND PUBLICATION ACCORDING TO LAW. WHEREAS, the City of Moscow, Idaho (hereinafter "City") has requested funding under the Transportation Alternatives Program (hereinafter "TAP"); and WHEREAS, the Idaho Transportation Department (hereinafter "State") has submitted an Agreement detailing State and City obligations for Project development of Middle Schools Safety Routes To School Safety Improvements; and WHEREAS, certain functions to be performed by the State involve the expenditure of funds as set forth in the Agreement attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the State can only pay for work associated with the State Highway system; and WHEREAS, the proposed Project A014(337) requires a local match from City of seven point three four percent and WHEREAS, City is fully responsible for its share of Project costs; and WHEREAS, City shall submit ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to the State prior to the beginning of the Project Development phase of the Middle Schools Safe Routes To School safety improvement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Moscow as follows: 1. That the Agreement for Federal Aid Highway Project A014(337) is hereby approved; and 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City; and 3. That certified copies of this Resolution shall be furnished to the Idaho Transportation Department; and 4. That this Resolution shall become effective as of 18th day of August, 2014.
