RESOLUTION NO. 96-03 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, IDAHO, ENDORSING SENATE BILL 1355 PROTECTING THE CITY'S ABILITY TO ADEQUATELY PLAN FOR THE FUTURE WATER NEEDS OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, a clean and dependable water supply is essential to the quality of life for the citizens of the City of Moscow; and WHEREAS, planning for the future domestic, commercial and industrial water needs of the City is essential to maintain a clean and dependable water supply; and WHEREAS, the ability to hold a water right in excess of current water usage is essential to the future economic vitality of the City of Moscow. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, IDAHO: SECTION I: That the Mayor and City Council of the City of Moscow endorses Senate Bill 1355 currently before the 1996 Session of the Idaho Legislature and the provisions therein which protect the City's ability to plan for a dependable supply of water for domestic, commercial and industrial needs. SECTION 2: The Mayor and City Council of the City of Moscow, Idaho, encourages all legislators representing the citizens of the City of Moscow to approve and pass this legislation. SECTION 3: That this resolution shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval. DATED this 4th day of March, 1996.
