September 14, 1999 CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 Project: MOUNTAINVIEW ROAD WATER I STORM SEWER- 1999 Paradise Creek to Street Proj. 101-99 1 • CONSTRUCT FIRE HYDRANT It was detemined that a hydrant is needed between and Streets to provide a location for flushing of the new 12-inch main. It was also determined that placing it on the east side of Mountainview Road would provide a future water service line to that undeveloped property if and when needed. The Contractor will furnish all materials and labor necessary to cross Mountainview Road with the 6-inch service line and install a hydrant per City of Moscow standard. 2. CONSTRUCT FENCE BERM ADD $4,194.00 Two existing fences must be removed and replaced , as part of Bid Item 2d work, to construct the storm sewer line. The fences would need to be removed and replaced again when street improvements are done in a few years. It is proposed to construct low 'berms' on which to re set the fences for $21/c.y. The berms will be constructed to future sidewalk grade to eliminate the future removal and replacement of the fences. 3. WOODEN FENCE MODIFICATIONS ADD $ 800.00 The wooden fence between Sta. 67 + 88 and 6 8 + 77 is scheduled to be removed and reset under Sid ltem 2d. The property ovvner requested that an opening be constructed in the fence to allow him to install a gate. The contractor must furnish and install one additional 4x4 post and make modifications to the horizontal rails to create this opening. 4. CONSTRUCT SANITARY SEWER SERVICES ADD $ 4 0.00 The Contractor will construct six ( 6) sanitary sewer services (per City of Moscow standard) to undeveloped property along the east side of Mountainview Road between Stations 77 + 4 0 and 83 + 80. The City will furnish and install the saddles; the Contractor will furnish the labor and materials from the sewer main to the property line, including all excavation, granular backfill and asphalt patching for $1 , 9 06 ea. RELOCATE WATER MAIN Due to a conflict with the field location of a gas main, it is necessary to move the alignment of the proposed watermain approximately two feet east. This results in additional asphalt removal and disposal. The negotiated price for this extra work is $1 ,500.00.
