RESOLUTION NO. 94- 04 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, ESTABLISHING A PARKING COMMITTEE TO WORK TOGETHER TO PRESENT RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW. WHEREAS, the City of Moscow is desirous of obtaining community input in establishing parking regulations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: Committee Established. A Parking Committee is hereby established. The Parking Committee shall consist of seven members, who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and subject to the approval of the City Council. SECTION 2: Term. The term of the individual members of the Parking Committee shall be three years. Such term shall be staggered in the following order: At its inception two members shall be appointed for a three year term; two members shall be appointed for a two year term; three members shall be appointed for a one year term. At the expiration of these individual terms, and thereafter, such newly appointed members shall be appointed for a period of three years. SECTION 3: Vacancies. Vacancies occurring in tbe membership of the Parking Committee shall be filled by the Mayor with the advice and subject to the approval of the City Council. Such member filling any such vacancy shall hold such committee membership for the unexpired term of the resigning member. SECTION 4: Members Shall Hold Office at Pleasure of Mayor. The members of the Parking Committee shall hold office at the pleasure of tbe Mayor, and the Mayor may revoke such appointment at any time and for any reason tbc Mayor deems sufficient. SECTION 5: Organization. The members of tbe Parking Committee shall meet and organize by electing one of their members chairman and shall elect such other officers as may be necessary. Such elections shall be held during the first regularly scheduled meeting in January. The Parking ---PAGE BREAK--- Committee may establish subcommittees to assist in carrying out the responsibilities delegated to the Committee by the Mayor and City Council. A record of meetings, hearings, resolutions, studies, findings and activities undertaken shall be maintained. All meetings and records shall be open to the public. SECTION 6: Duties. The Parking Committee shall advise the Mayor and City Council upon matters pertaining to parking, both private and public, on properties owned, controlled or regulated by the City. The Committee shall respond to requests from the Mayor and City Council on specific parking issues. PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this 7th March 1994. ATTEST: day of
