JUNE 12, 1996 CHANGE ORDER NO.5 Project: Styner Avenue.- L.I.D. No. 113 1. ILLUMINATION POWER SOURCE The subcontractor has claimed that the work of furnishing materials and labor to supply power from an electrical source to the illumination circuit is extra work and not clearly defined in the scope of work for this item. PCE (Palouse Country Electric) has asked for $500 from the prime and DEBCO, in return has passed the request on to us. The location of the power source was not identified on the plans but the intent was for the contractor to coordinate with WWP prior to bidding. These instructions are open to interpretation, therefore we are agreeable to make some compensation as follows: Lump Sum bid for installing approximately 2000 feet of illumination conduit system was $5,975 or $3.00/l.f. The additional footage from power source to circuit is approximately 60 lineal feet at $3.00/ft $180 Estimated Cost . . . . . . . . $180.00 2. PLANT ADDITIONAL SHRUBS The contractor was requested to plant some additional shrubs along the project. Some were for screening out some erosion control rip-rapand others were placed for aesthetic purposes. Four ground cover junipers and three larger flowering bushes were delivered and installed. The contractor is asking $50/ea for materials, labor, and equipment.
