December 17, 1986 CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 Project: Meadow- Vandal L.I.D. No. 122 1. SOFT SPOT REPA IR After subgrade fabric and base aggregate had been placed on the roadways, a number of areas began to "pump" and show signs of instability. It is necessary to remove the base rock, cut the fabric, excavate the unsuitable material, replace fabric and place additional base rock in these areas. They have quoted $1 0.00 per square yard for this work. There are 2 37 s.y. of soft spot repairs to be done. SUBTOTAL 37 0.00 2. DR IVEWAY PREPARAT ION Most of the residents in the L.I.D. have requested that we pave their driveway approaches as part of this project. The labor and equipment needed to prepare individual driveways for rock and pavement differs from that needed to prepare the streets. The Excavation specification was set up to establish a cost and guidelines for street preparation. After negotiations we were able to settle on $2.00/s.y. as an average cost for the work involved. There is approximately 787s.y. of driveway prep to be added to the project.
