RESOLUTION NO. 2007- J.1!0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW. A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, AGREEING TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT APPLICATION FOR THE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROGRAM TO THE IDAHO TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVAL. WHEREAS, the Safe Routes to School Program (hereinafter referred to as "SR2S") administered by the Idaho Transportation Department (hereinafter referred to as "lTD"), has made a call for submittals of proposed projects for funding under the SR2S program; and WHEREAS, the City of Moscow (hereinafter referred to as "CITY") has identified a project for potential funding to provide sidewalks on Cleveland Street and an asphalt pathway along D Street from Oylear Field to the Eggan Recreation Center in partner with University of Idaho (hereinafter referred to as "U of I" ) as the program educator; and WHEREAS, the estimated total project cost is $100,000 for infrastructure improvements and $25,000 for non-infrastructure educational activities. which is a reimbursement program and does not require matching funds from the CITY or U of I; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Moscow, Idaho as follows: That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to sign a Resolution to approve the funding and maintenance requirements of the project if selected by lTD.
