RESOLUTION NO. 95-_02 _ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, A MlJNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, SUPPORTING THE EFFORTS OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, LATAH COUNTY AND MOSCOW SCHOOL DISTRICT JOINT FACILITIES TASK FORCE. WHEREAS, the City of Moscow, Latah County, and the Moscow School District are experiencing an increasing shortage of adequate facilities; and WHEREAS, we need to save tax dollars by being more creative with limited resources; and WHEREAS, we recognize the need to improve government services and preserve our local heritage; and WHEREAS, we need to plan wisely for future growth; and WHEREAS, we want to involve the community in seeking solutions to our common challenges; and WHEREAS, by more efficiently using existing facilities, we avoid unnecessary costs of new construction; and WHEREAS, we wish to provide a more efficient use of existing facilities and offer future expansion opportunities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW THAT WE SUPPORT THE EFFORTS OF THE JOINT FACILITIES TASK FORCE IN HOLDING A SERIES OF COMMUNITY MEETINGS TO INFORM AND INVOLVE OUR CITIZENS IN SEEKING ALTERNATIVES TO ADDRESS THESE CHALLENGES.
