Resolution No. 99-04 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, STATING THE SUPPORT OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW FOR A TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM PROJECT AT STREET EAST OF MOUNTAIN VIEW ROAD. WHEREAS, the City of Moscow wishes to develop sidewalks, intervening planting strips and bicycle lanes along Street east of Mountain View Road to provide for safe alternative modes of transportation for children traveling to and from schools in that area; and WHEREAS, the City of Moscow will submit an application to the Idaho Transportation Department (lTD) for reimbursement of expenditures related to that project through lTD's Transportation Enhancement Program; and WHEREAS, lTD requires a resolution of support for the project from the Moscow City Council as a prerequisite to application for Transportation Enhancement funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW AS FOLLOWS That the Moscow City Council supports the proposed Enhancement project; that it has the legal authority to apply for and pledge funds in the amount of the match indicated on the application; that those matching funds will be available for the project; and that the City will provide maintenance for the project upon completion.
