1 Jeff Jones From: Hennekey,Ray <[EMAIL REDACTED]> Sent: Sunday, June 10, 2012 9:44 AM To: Jeff Jones Subject: ESA concerns for Brownsfield projects Jeff, I reviewed your letters, pictures and maps for two sites (the Elevator Spur at Lily and Asbury Street and the Fountain Industrial Park properties) the City of Moscow plans to assess for suitability for an EPA Brownfield Grant. Both of those sites are highly disturbed, urban landscapes, and have been so for decades. In our opinion, neither of those sites contain suitable habitat for the ESA-listed plants or animals in Latah County. IDFG would not anticipate adverse direct or indirect impacts to wildlife or plants from projects on those properties. Please note, however, that the US Fish and Wildlife Service makes the final determinations of effect of projects to ESA-listed plants and animals. We recommend that you also contact the USFWS Snake River Office in Boise regarding these projects. Please let me know if you require any additional information or a formal letter stating the above opinion and I’ll get that to you.
