RESOLUTION NO. 98-08 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, STATING THE COUNCIL'S INTENT TO ADDRESS ISSUES OF NOISE IN THE DESIGN OF THE CITY'S PROPOSED HAMILTON/LOWE AQUATIC CENTER WHEREAS, the City of Moscow is preparing to conduct a bond election to decide whether to construct a new aquatic center at the corner of Street and Mountain View Road in the City; and WHEREAS, several neighborhood residents have expressed concerns regarding the anticipated increase in noise as a result of the aquatic center; and WHEREAS, the City desires to minimize any adverse impact of increased noise as is practicaL NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW THAT Upon the successful bond election for the construction of the Hamilton/Lowe Aquatic Center, the City of Moscow will direct the Center's designers to address increased noise and its abatement. Specifically, the Council intends that any design presented will, to the greatest extent practical, absorb and direct noise away from existing neighborhoods. RESOLUTION 98.08 MAY 4,1998 PAGE 1 OF 1
