RESOLUTION NO. 2005- 02 A RESOLUTION O F THE CITY O F MOSCOW, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION O F THE STATE O F IDAHO, AGREEING TO SUPPORT FEDERAL AND HIGHWAY PROJECT; PROVIDING THAT THIS RESOLUTION TO BE E FFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVAL. WHEREAS, the City of Moscow, Idaho (hereinafter referred to as "CITY") has submitted an application for the FY2008 Transportation Enhancement Program Solicitation to the Idaho Transportation Department (hereinafter referred to as "STATE"), for improvements to Moscow Pathway 2008 within CITY limits; and WHEREAS, Moscow City Council supports the project and project application; and WHEREAS, CITY acknowledges the financial and future maintenance commitments which will result from adding a new facility to the public infrastructure; and WHEREAS, CITY has built-in resources, currently the Parks and Recreation Department, capable of maintaining this type of facility; and WHEREAS, development and maintenance of the Paradise Path has been an anticipated responsibility that CITY is willing to accept; and WHEREAS, the proposed project will be maintained by CITY; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Moscow, Idaho as follows: 1. The Moscow City Council supports the Moscow Pathway 2008 project and application. 2. The Moscow City Council acknowledges financial responsibility and future maintenance commitments of this project.
