Municipal Clerks Week WHEREAS, the Office of the Municipal Clerk is a vital part of local government, and WHEREAS, the Municipal Clerk provides the professional link among citizens, local governing bodies and agencies of government at other levels, and WHEREAS, Municipal Clerks pledge to be mindful of their neutrality and impartiality, rendering equal service to all, and WHEREAS, the Municipal Clerk serves as the information expert on functions of local government and community, and WHEREAS, Municipal Clerks strive to improve their knowledge and skills by participating in educational programs, seminars, workshops and other professional meetings, and WHEREAS, our City is fortunate to enjoy the excellent professional services of City Clerk Stephanie Kalasz, Now, Therefore, I, Nancy Chaney, Mayor of the City of Moscow, do hereby proclaim the week of May 3 through May 9, 2009 as Municipal Clerks Week in Moscow, and extend appreciation to Moscow’s City Clerk and to all Municipal Clerks for their dedication and service.
