RESOLUTION NO. 92-13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, STATING THE DESIRE OF THE CITY AND THE UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO TO WORK TOGETHER TO ACCOMPLISH CONSTRUCTION OF A NON-MOTORIZED PATHWAY FROM THE CENTRAL MOSCOW BUSINESS DISTRICT ALONG THE EDGE OF THE UJ\'IVERSITY OF IDAHO CA.\1PUS TO THE WASHINGTON STATE LINE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SEEK FUNDING FOR THE PROJECT THROUGH THE IDAHO TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the City of Moscow and the University ofldaho are desirous of taking steps to improve the air quality in the City, and; WHEREAS, the City of Moscow and the University of Idaho are actively seeking to create opportunities for and encouraging individuals to travel by other than motorized means, and; WHEREAS, the Idaho Transportation Board has created programs to finance alternatives to transportation by automobile, and; WHEREAS, a project is planned to construct a non-motorized vehicle pathway extending from the City of Moscow central business district along the edge of the University of Idaho Campus to the Washington State line, and; \:VHEREAS, the project qualifies for funding under Idaho Transportation Board programs; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW AS FOLLOWS: That this project is beneficial to the citizens of the City of Moscow and the community and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to seek funding through the Idaho Transportation Board for construction next year.
