§ 8-1 TITLE 1 — GENERAL § 8-3 Chapter 8 SALARIES Sec. 8-1: Compensation Shall be Fixed Sec. 8-2: Salaries of Elective Officers Sec. 8-3: Salaries Fixed by Council Sec. 8-1. Compensation Shall Be Fixed. The salary for elective officers shall be fixed by ordinance. Salary adjustments for such elective officers shall be made every two years from the date of the previous adjustment in accordance and in proportion with adjustments in the Consumer Price Index, Series I.D. CUUR0000SA0 All Urban Consumers, U.S. All items, 1982- 84=100. The statistics utilized shall be the figures for the annual percent change for each calendar year within the subject two year period, as published by the United States Department of Labor in January of each year. Such adjustments must be specifically approved by ordinance at least six months prior to the effective date of such adjustments. Ref. Idaho Code, § 50-203 (Ord. 2023-03, 03/20/2023) Sec. 8-2. Salaries of Elective Officers. The salary for elective officers shall be as follows: A. Effective January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025: Mayor $2,396.96 per month Council $831.03 per month B.
