After a thorough review and assessment, both parties have agreed that proceeding further with a hearing is not in the best interest of the Town of Monument or Mr. Richey. Mr. Richey has decided it is in his best interest to resign his employment and the Town of Monument recognizes his valuable contributions during his tenure. In light of the fact that Mr. Richey has resigned his employment, no removal hearing will be occurring. As is often the circumstance when matters are in litigation, no one associated with the notice of charge has admitted any wrong doing and because there has not been and will not be any removal hearing, there have been no substantive findings of fact nor conclusions reached by the Town Board as to the allegations contained in the charge.
