PUBLIC REGISTRATION The Public registration page looks like this, and you would enter the items needed such as a username and password, your monument address etc., then select “Register” at the bottom. Be sure to keep your password safe for future use. Registered users can also submit a permit from their account. (NOTE: Anyone doing construction work, you will need a Monument Business License & register as a “Contractor”). This public registration can help with searching a bit easier through a Dashboard ---PAGE BREAK--- Search through all final “issued permits” without registering For each column title there are 3 dots that can be clicked for a search option. In the examples below, when the 3 dots are clicked there are options for Sorting, Column viewing and Filters. The filters can be used to see all final “Issued Permits” for an address, type, date etc. and anything associated with it. Example of a filter by a specific address under the “Street Address” column: Click the blue Permit Number to open a permit Example of filtering all Commercial New Builds under the “Type” column: Click the blue Permit Number to open a permit ---PAGE BREAK--- Once you have Clicked the blue Permit Number it will open the permit so that you can see the permit ---PAGE BREAK--- REGISTERING WITH CASCADE AS PUBLIC OR AS A BUSINESS IMPORTANT NOTE: You must use Chrome as your browser. *LOG IN TO CASCADE- *REGISTER-Choose either “Register as Public” if you are a home/property owner or “Register as a Contractor” if you are a licensed business who will be doing work in the Town of Monument. Note that “contractor” is used as a general term for those that are licensed to work within Monument, and you will be required to have a Town of Monument Business License. PUBLIC REGISTRATION The Public registration page looks like this, and you would enter the items needed such as a username and password, your monument address etc., then select “Register” at the bottom. Be sure to keep your password safe for future use. ---PAGE BREAK--- CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION IMPORTANT NOTE: there are two types of businesses under the “Contractor registration” term- *General contractors- i.e. companies or individuals who are performing work for an owner. Such as architects, engineers, general contractors and trade work contractors. *Licensed Vendor- i.e. mobile vendors such as a food truck, any business doing work with a Lake Use permit. The Contractor registration looks like this, and you would enter a username and all items required. Then select “New contractor”. A new window will come up where you can enter your company name etc. and in the “Contractor Types” box select either General Contractors or Licensed Vendor. Then at the bottom, select Register. Your registration will then be reviewed for validation of your Town of Monument Business License before permits can be applied for. ---PAGE BREAK--- VALIDATING CONTRACTORS (YOU CANNOT SUBMIT A PERMIT APPLICATION UNTIL YOUR ACCOUNT IS VALIDATED) Contractor accounts will need to be validated by the jurisdiction in order to activate their account. The CASCADE user will receive an email notification when a Contractor has initiated an account. The Business License Tech. will ensure the contractor has a current Town of Monument Business License. Once confirmed the contractor’s account will be validated and they can start submitting permit applications. If you do not have a Town Business License, you will be requested to obtain one. The application is on the Town of Monument Website- Once your business is registered on Cascade you can also add “users” under the main account. This is also where you are able to view your account details, the permits (forms), or items on hold. PERMIT APPLICATION You can now apply for a permit with the Town of Monument. See permit creation notes. ---PAGE BREAK--- CREATING A PERMIT IN CASCADE IMPORTANT-You must use Chrome as your browser 1. Log in to your Cascade account (if you have not registered for an account, you must do so prior to submitting a permit and it will need to be verified first.) 2. Choose “New Permit” (this is for any permit) 3. In the “Creat Permit” area, if you know the Parcel # enter it here. If not you can start typing an address and it will bring it up. If the address is brand new it may not yet be in the Cascade system from the Assessor and will need to be manually entered by Monument. In the “Type” box, you choose what kind of permit you need. ---PAGE BREAK--- 4. Enter the permit details- ensure you have all information and documents ready prior to submitting. This example is a Residential new home build application template. If you are missing any information and want to come back to it, just select SAVE. If all information is entered, you can then select SAVE and SUBMIT. ---PAGE BREAK--- 5. The Town of Monument will review and send alerts if anything is needed. 6. Once it is approved you will get an email notification of the FEES DUE. 7. PAYMENT-You may go to the Town Hall in monument to pay or pay online. See notes on how to pay online. ---PAGE BREAK--- INSTRUCTIONS ON WHERE TO GO TO SEE FEES DUE IN PERMIT ACCOUNT & ON PERMITS Example: When a permit is approved and ready to pay, the applicant will receive an alert via email Sign in to your account or permit ---PAGE BREAK--- In the Applicant’s account, scroll to the bottom where the information is for all of your permits. Select one at a time to open for that permit’s details. You can click on the Invoice to open up a PDF for your records and note the fee. If you wish to pay online, you may do so here as well. Note that there may be a processing fee for certain types of payments. ---PAGE BREAK--- To pay online, select “Pay All” It will change to yellow and if you are not quite ready, you can select it again. Otherwise, click the the blue “Next”. In this window, you add your payment type (you can save it for future use as well), name and notes etc. then “Save” PRINT: You can then print a receipt and your permit will be issued. See notes on how to print your payment receipt and permit. ---PAGE BREAK--- How to print your payment receipts or permit PRINT or VIEW your RECEIPT Here is what you should be seeing on the “Fee Payments” tab within the permit. Before you make a payment you can print the Invoice, after the payment has been made, you can print the invoice. PRINT or VIEW your Approved PERMIT- Here is what you should be seeing on the Edit Values tab within the permit. There should be a blue “Print Permit”. (It will only show if the permit was approved and paid)
