It includes widening and reconstruction of Highway 105, new curb and gutter, two retaining walls, intersection improvements, new roundabout at Knollwood Drive/Village Ridge Point intersection, traffic signal replaced at Knollwood Drive, a new underground drainage system and water quality pond. Monument Academy will construct new queuing lanes on the school property site north of Highway 105. The Monument Junction developer will construct improvements at the Highway 105/CO-105/Jackson Creek Parkway (JCP) intersection including a second westbound left turn lane on Highway 105 to southbound Jackson Creek Parkway. Estimated construction dates: 3rd Quarter 2024 - 2026 This project will expand Jackson Creek Parkway from one lane in each direction to two lanes in each direction (from Higby Road north to Highway 105), extending the four-lane configuration. Also included are drainage improvements, median landscaping, pedestrian and bike pathways, and “Gateway” treatments. CLICK ON MAP TO ENLARGE Stay Informed on the Jackson Creek Parkway Widening Project Website: Sign up for construction progress updates by sending an email to: Monument Junction Interim Improvements Highway 105/CO-105/Jackson Creek Parkway (JCP) This “Interim” project will see approximately 2,600 linear feet of JCP street improvements including widening for several new turn lanes, drive access to development areas, signage, and striping. The project duration is approximately 80 workdays and is scheduled for completion in August 2023. Wildcat Construction and its Subcontractors got off to a great start this past Monday morning in setting up traffic control for public and crew safety before proceeding on with its actual JCP widening efforts. After mobilizing its earthmoving equipment into the JCP Staging area Tuesday morning, Wildcat began Clearing & Grubbing operations along the JCP northbound roadside edge. To expedite the widening project, over the next three to four weeks, Wildcat will be performing Clearing & Grubbing, Cut/Fill Operations, and Subgrade Scarifying/Recompaction.
