MONUMENT MUNICIPAL COURT FINES SCHEDULE Speeding/Traffic Charges Points Fines 1-4 mph over 0 $30 5-9 mph over 1 $70 10-19 mph over 4 $135 20 mph over 6 $200 21+ mph over 6 $200 (+$10 each mph over) Careless Driving 4 $150 Stop Sign/Signal 3-4 $70-$100 Illegal Possession/ Consumption of Alcohol by an Underage Person $100 Please note: ➢ Speeding Charges are assessed a $17 State Surcharge ➢ Speeding in School and Construction Zones = Double the Fines ➢ All cases that appear in court will be assessed a $30 court cost ➢ Deferred Sentence continuations will be assessed a $25 extension fee o Payments can be made by cash, check, money order or credit cards.
