City of Missoula, Montana Item to be Referred to City Council Committee Committee: Public Works Item: Bid Award for Miller Creek Road Improvements Project Project 05-033 Date: February 3, 2010 Prepared by: Monte Sipe Initiated by: Kevin Slovarp/Steve King Action Required: Review bids for Miller Creek Road improvement project, award bid to lowest responsible bidder and authorize return of bid bonds. Recommended Motion: The committee recommends the City Council award the bid for Project 05-033, Miller Creek Road Improvements to LS Jensen for the sum of $2,009,884.08 and authorize the return of all bid bonds. Timeline: Referral to committee: February 8, 2010 Committee discussion: February 17, 2010 Background and Alternatives Explored: Refer to agreements – previously reviewed and approved by City Council. Financial Implications: This project is being funded per Developer agreements and City/county interlocal agreements. The agreements use Miller Creek Transportation Mitigation Funds, developer contributions, Sewer SDF and Traffic Impact Fees. The Bid Tab displays contractors bidding on the project and the low bid contractor.
