Playful City USA is a framework that will help us join forces to build more play spaces in Missoula, promote the positive benefits of play, and make sure every child feels connected to and valued by our community. Join Mayor John Engen on November 19 at the Carousel to: • Learn how to become involved with Missoula's many Playful City initiatives. • Share your ideas on how to ensure every child in Missoula has a great place to play within walking distance. • Be a kid again by revisiting the importance of play...for all. Great news! Missoula has been named a Playful City USA. A Carousel For Missoula Caras Park WHERE Playful City USA is a national recognition program honoring cities and towns across the nation committed to taking action for play. In 2009, Missoula was named Montana's first Playful City USA. With this designation, Missoula becomes a national role model, leading the way for play and growing the next generation of healthy and productive adults. By ensuring the prominence of play in our community's agenda, we will soon reap the benefits that results from happier, smarter and healthier children — a stronger community that is a desirable place to live.
