RESOLUTION NUMBER____ A RESOLUTION REVISING CITY OF MISSOULA PARKS AND RECREATION FEE SCHEDULES FOR PARKS AND RECREATION PROGRAMS, FACILITIES AND CONCESSIONNAIRES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Missoula, Montana passed Ordinance Number 2520 on October 20, 1986, establishing a procedure of adoption, amendment or repeal of fees for services provided by the City enacting a new Missoula Municipal Code section 2.03.020 requiring that all city fees be adopted, amended or repealed pursuant to either an ordinance or resolutions adopted by the City Council and WHEREAS, it is important for the funding of successful City Parks and Recreation Department facilities, operations and program that some funds or revenues in addition to property taxes, be generated to assist in finance the cost of these Parks and Recreation facilities, operation and programs; and WHEREAS, the City Council has previously pursuant to Resolution Numbers 5139, 5386 and 5553, 6083, 6401, 6472, 7010, 7199, 7309 and 7393 adopted fee schedules for Parks and Recreation facilities, fees, reservation and programs, basically recommended by the City Parks and Recreation Board; and WHEREAS, the Missoula City Council reviews and holds a public meeting regarding the Master Fee Schedule annually; and WHEREAS, the Missoula County Park Board wishes to continue to pay to the City $3150 per year for FY10, in recognition of County residents use of City Parks and Services, and $3,000 per year for scholarships for county residents, said fees and scholarship agreement shall be reviewed annually by the City and County. WHEREAS, it is the City Council’s intent by the adoption of this resolution that if any prior established fee is in conflict with the attached fee schedule the fees set forth in the attached fee schedule shall be the fees charged and any conflicting prior fee is hereby superseded, repealed and replaced with the fees adopted pursuant to this resolution. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Missoula that the Master Fee Schedule for Parks and Recreation Facilities, Fees, Permits Reservation and Programs be hereby adopted.
