City of Missoula, Montana Item to be Referred to City Council Committee Committee: Planning, Annexation and Zoning Item: Council Appointments to the Consolidated Planning Board Date: November 5, 2010 Prepared by: Kelly Elam Initiated by: Action Required: Appoint two members to the Consolidated Planning Board for a regular position and an alternate position for the terms beginning January 1, 2011 and ending on December 31, 2013. Recommended Motion: I move the City Council appoint and to the Consolidated Planning Board for a regular position and an alternate position for the terms beginning January 1, 2011 and ending on December 31, 2013. Timeline: Referral to committee: November 8, 2010 Committee discussion: December 1, 2010 Public Hearing: Deadline: None, members continue serving until reappointed or a successor is named. Background There are two positions that will be vacant on the Consolidated Planning Board. Tim Skufca and Jonathan Haber's term expires on December 31, 2010. Applications closed on November 3, 2010, and we received three applications. The vacancies include a regular and an alternate position. Jonathan Haber declined to reapply due to lack of time. Tim Skufca (reapplied for regular & alternate positions), Pat Little (applied for regular & alternate positions) and Alex Taft (applied for a regular position).
