RESOLUTION Additional Duties of Community Forum Leadership Team 10/23/2008 A RESOLUTION OF THE MISSOULA COMMUNITY FORUM ADOPTING ADDITIONAL DUTIES FOR COMMUNITY FORUM LEADERSHIP TEAM FROM JULY 1, 2008 TO JUNE 30, 2009. WHEREAS Community Forum adopted updated bylaws October 23, 2008 that revised Section 5 “Leadership Team.” WHEREAS the bylaws of Community Forum state, Community Forum Leadership Team must develop additional, new duties annually that are not reflected in the bylaws but in which the team will be engaged. WHEREAS Community Forum Leadership Team sets the “additional duties” and brings forth a resolution to Community Forum. WHEREAS the following duties have been recommended by the leadership team from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009: 1. Propose training sessions for CF meetings 2. Propose education topics for CF meetings 3. Solicit, review and approve presentations to be made to Community Forum. 4. Ensure/encourage City departments to provide timely information on City-initiated projects as delineated in Ordinance (1.18.080). 5. Develop and participate in training and education programs for new neighborhood councils. 6. Review and possibly propose changes to CF bylaws. 7. Participate in the annual Neighborhood Liaison Evaluation. 8. Encourage neighborhood activity and meetings as well as assist the Liaison in activating non- active neighborhoods. 9. Build relationships with Neighborhood Network, Homeowners Associations and Community Councils. 10. Facilitate and set up regular meetings between Community Forum and City Council. 11. Establish and plan an appreciation potluck for all Community Forum and Neighborhood Council members. WHEREAS Community Forum must adopt the additional duties as a resolution in accordance with the bylaws. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMUNITY FORUM OF THE CITY OF MISSOULA, MONTANA, that the additional duties of Community Forum Leadership Team be approved.
