City of Missoula, Montana Item to be Referred to City Council Committee Committee: Public Works Committee Item: Resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign for and utilize Rattlesnake Gateway/Greenough Drive ARRA funds Date: July 2, 2009 Prepared by: Jessica Miller Initiated by: Steve King Action Required: Pass a resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign for and utilize $200,000 of American Recovery And Reinvestment Act Grant Funds for City Project No. 2009-030 “Rattlesnake Gateway/Greenough Drive.” Recommended Motion: The committee recommends the City Council pass a resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign for and utilize $200,000 of American Recovery And Reinvestment Act Grant Funds for City Project No. 2009-030 “Rattlesnake Gateway/Greenough Drive.” Timeline: Referral to committee: July 6, 2009 Committee discussion: July 8, 2009 Background and Alternatives Explored: The project agreement was authorized by Council on May 11, 2009. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act requires that projects using “stimulus funds” must be ready to bid by January 15.
