Date: March 30, 2010 Prepared by: Monte Sipe Initiated by: Kevin Slovarp/Steve King Action Required: Approve the Agreement for Professional Services to DJ&A, P.C., for Lower Miller Creek Road right-of- way acquisition. Recommended Motion: The committee recommends the City Council approve and authorize the Mayor to sign the Agreement for Professional Services to DJ&A, P.C., for Lower Miller Creek Road right-of-way acquisition in the amount not to exceed $18,147.50. Timeline: Referral to committee: April 5, 2010 Committee discussion: April 7, 2010 Background and Alternatives Explored: This agreement between the City of Missoula and DJ&A, P.C. is to complete right-of-way acquisition services for the Lower Miller Creek Road Improvement Project between the Wye and Linda Vista Boulevard. The project includes curb/gutter and sidewalk on Lower Miller Creek Rd. from the Wye area to Linda Vista Boulevard and associated paving, striping and signage. Right-of-way easements are necessary along three properties abutting the south side of the project from the to Lamoreux Lane. Financial Implications: The funding for this $537,000 construction project is coming from Western Federal Lands Highway Division.
