City of Missoula, Montana Item to be Referred to City Council Committee Committee: PUBLIC WORKS Item: Bid Award for Curb and Sidewalk Improvements Project 10-016: Deano’s Travel Plaza Driveway Repairs Date: September 16, 2010 Prepared by: Monte Sipe Initiated by: Doug Harby Action Required: Review bids for Deano’s driveway repair project, award bid to lowest responsible bidder and authorize return of bid bonds. Recommended Motion: The committee recommends the City Council award the bid for Project 10-016, Deano’s Driveway Repair Improvements adjacent to 5318 West Harrier to AAA Construction of Missoula, LLC. for the sum of $28,560.00 and authorize return of bid bonds. Timeline: Referral to committee: September 20, 2010 Committee discussion: September 22, 2010 Background and Alternatives Explored: The project was initiated by City Engineering for the purpose of sewer main trench rehabilitation and reconstructing a commercial driveway at 5318 West Harrier. Financial Implications: All costs of improvements are being funded 50% by Sewer R&D and 50% by County reimbursement.
