MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF MISSOULA AND MONTANA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION REPRESENTING LABORATORY TECHNICIANS IN THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT DIVISION THIS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING is made and entered into between the City of Missoula, County of Missoula, State of Montana (hereinafter referred to as the Employer) and the Montana Public Employees Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association). In the spirit of teamwork and cooperation the Association has agreed to no wage increase for FY2011. The Union understands the economic constraints that the Employer is experiencing and has agreed to forego the negotiated increase as listed in the current collective bargaining agreement. In recognition of the Association's cooperation the Employer agrees to the following: Article 21 – Wages The employer agrees to pay Laboratory Technician employees a 3% percent increase for FY2009, 3.5% increase for FY 2010, 0% increase for FY 2011, 3.75% increase for FY 2012 and 4% for FY2013, FY2014 and FY2015, pursuant to the wage schedules listed below. Classification I: Classification II: Laboratory Technician Trainee Laboratory Technician Fiscal Year Effective Date Classification I Classification II FY10 7/1/09 $16.19 $20.61 FY11 7/1/10 $16.19 $20.61 FY12 7/1/11 $16.80 $21.38 FY13 7/1/12 $17.47 $22.24 FY14 7/1/13 $18.17 $23.13 FY15 7/1/14 $18.90 $24.06 ---PAGE BREAK--- Article 29 – Term of the Agreement The terms of this Agreement shall be extended for three years, after the original expiration date of the Agreement through June 30, 2015 This Agreement shall be automatically renewed from year to year thereafter unless either party shall notify the other in writing sixty (60) days prior to the expiration date that it desires to modify or terminate this Agreement.
