City of Missoula, Montana Item to be Referred to City Council Committee Committee: Public Works Committee Item: Interlocal Agreement between the City of Missoula and the County of Missoula related to the Reserve Street / Mullan Road Intersection Improvements Project Date: January 7, 2010 Prepared by: Gregg Wood Initiated by: Kevin Slovarp Action Required: Interlocal Agreement between the City of Missoula and the County of Missoula related to the Reserve Street / Mullan Road Intersection Improvements Project. Recommended Motion: The committee recommends the City Council approve and authorize the Mayor to sign the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Missoula and the County of Missoula related to the Reserve Street / Mullan Road Intersection Improvements project and adopt a resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign future agreements at the intersection. Timeline: Referral to committee: January 11, 2010 Committee discussion: January 20, 2010 Background and Alternatives Explored: The purpose of this Agreement is to facilitate infrastructure improvements to the intersection of Reserve Street and Mullan Road in a project that crosses the County-City jurisdictional boundary. The project is to be funded in part with traffic mitigation funds collected by the County for improvements to this intersection. The City will administer and implement the Project. Financial Implications: $300,000 - $350,000 – funded with County Traffic Mitigation funds.
