South 5th & 6th St. East, award bid to lowest responsible bidder and authorize return of bid bonds. Recommended Motion: The committee recommends the City Council award the bid for Project 09-056, Curb and Sidewalk Improvements adjacent to properties in the 600 Block of South 5th & 6th Street East to Patterson Enterprises, Inc. for the sum of $79,731.43 and authorize return of bid bonds. Timeline: Referral to committee: May 17, 2010 Committee discussion: May 19, 2010 Background and Alternatives Explored: The project was initiated by the University for the purpose of reconstructing the sidewalk along the 600 Block of S. 5th & 6th St. E. between Arthur Ave. and Maurice Avenue. Financial Implications: All costs of improvements are being funded by the University of Montana. The attachment shows the contractors bidding and the apparent low bidder on this project.
