This purchase is a cooperative purchasing agreement with the State of Montana. Recommended Motion: The committee recommends the City Council approve the purchase of Five 2009 Dodge Charger Patrol Cars from Ronan Auto Body of Ronan, Montana for $24,961 each; a total of $124,805 for all five cars. Timeline: Referral to committee: 12/7/09 Committee discussion: 12/9/09 Background and Alternatives Explored: This is a scheduled purchase in compliance with the vehicle replacement schedule. Financial Implications: The total cost of this purchase is $124,805. The Police Department has $190,000 budgeted for patrol car purchases. Auxiliary police patrol car components such as radios, gun racks, and top lights etc., may need to be purchased to fit the new cars. These components will vary from car to car depending upon how many can be re-used from the old patrol car.
