ORDINANCE NUMBER 3436 AN ORDINANCE OF THE MISSOULA CITY COUNCIL AMENDING SECTION 2.36.010 AND REPEALING SECTION 2.36.040 OF MISSOULA MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO THE BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION TO REVISE REFERENCES TO THE FIRE CODE ENFORCED BY THE BUREAU TO PROVIDE CONSISTENCY WITH CHAPTER 15.08. BE IT ORDAINED THAT SECTION 2.36.010 IS HEREBY AMENDED AND SECTION 2.36.040 IS HEREBY REPEALED AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. 2.36.010 Established. The Bureau of Fire Prevention is hereby established in the city fire department and shall be operated under the supervision of the chief of the fire department for the purposes of enforcing the fire code adopted pursuant to Chapter 15.08. Section 2. 2.36.040 Repealed. Severability. If any selection, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The council hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase and words thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases or words have been declared invalid or unconstitutional, and if for any reason this ordinance should be declared invalid or unconstitutional, then the remaining ordinance provisions will be in full force and effect.
