The intent of the demolition is to remove blighted structures and impro site aesthetics so that it is more marketable. In order to preserve some control over site and building design subsequent to a sale, the Board wished to make the amount reimbursed for the above demolition activities a loan that the Board may cancel upon acceptable redevelop site within a timeframe of three years. ike ve the ment of the at d een The Board also directed that the Grunows rectify several boundary/right-of-way issues including encroachments and a portion of the 1106 West Broadway building (currently the Osprey Nest) th juts into the Broadway right-of-way making pedestrian access difficult. The agreement addresses those issues and includes a direct grant reimbursement of up to $17,500 for removal of the portion of the Osprey Nest building that impinges on West Broadway, restoration of the building, an transfer of the underlying property to the City.
