Council acts to set hearing: No public hearing required Public Hearing: No public hearing required Deadline: Background and Alternatives Explored: The FY11 Budget/Road District #1 includes the following: The work plan for City of Missoula Road District Number 1 is amended to add the following goal: In FY11, allocate $60,000 of the annual assessment to mitigate costs associated with owner-occupied residential sidewalk, curb, and gutter installation and/or repair when such improvements are ordered in by the City. Within three months of adoption of the Fiscal Year 2011 budget, the City Administration shall present to Council for approval a plan that includes alternatives for utilizing Road District assessments on sidewalk, curb, and gutter installations or maintenance. It's important for Administrative Branch to be aware of the Council's thinking at the head end of this process. Also, Public Works would like to make use of this amount during this construction cycle; I think the Council would like that as well. Some possibilities for use of the money might be bulbouts, sidewalk ramps, the long side of corner lots, sidewalk replacement, and so forth. Financial Implications: $60,000 for New Work has been provided in the FY11 budget. Attachments:
