RESOLUTION NUMBER 7467 A RESOLUTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7-5-4308, MCA PROCEDURE TO MODIFY MUNICIPAL CONTRACTS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 – PINEVIEW PARK - PHASE II TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN VALLEY LANDSCAPE, INC AND THE CITY OF MISSOULA. WHEREAS, the City of Missoula entered into a contract with Valley Landscape, Inc, on February 26th, 2009, for City Project PR 09-01 PV, Pineview Park – Phase II; and WHEREAS, during the construction of the facilities it became apparent that certain changes to the plan were necessary to achieve the intent of the project; and WHEREAS, the proposed change order has been reviewed and negotiated by the Architect and the contractor has agreed to the change in writing, as shown by the attached change order form. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Parks and Recreation Director is hereby authorized to execute changes to the February 26th, 2009 contract between Valley Landscape, Inc and the City of Missoula as follows: CHANGE ORDER NUMBER 3—PINEVIEW PARK (INCREASE) (DECREASE) DESCRIPTION OF CHANGES IN CONTRACT PRICE IN CONTRACT PRICE 1. Shared VE savings for the redesigned irrigation system - ($11,400.00) 2. VE payment for the irrigation redesign – $5,700.00 3. Bid Alternate #1 Drinking fountain - $2,140.00 4. Bid Alternate #2 Soil Conditioning(revised) - $20,565.00 5. Increase placed boulders per Architects redesign - $513.00 6. Add weed fabric and mulch in tree islands - $5,850.00 7. Add ‘Grass-Pave’ to approach areas - $5,450.00 8. Add sod in front of tennis courts in place of seeding - $600.00 9. Screen and spread on-site topsoil - ($2,582.00) 10. Regrade berms and various deficiencies throughout site - $4,340.00 Net Change in Contract Price – Increase $31,206.00 The amount of the contract will be increased by the sum of $31,206.00 with no change to the contract calendar days.
