RESOLUTION NUMBER 7459 A RESOLUTION OF THE MISSOULA CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN FOR AND UTILIZE $240,000 OF FUNDS ALLOCATED THROUGH MONTANA HOUSE BILL 645 (HB645) FOR CITY PROJECT NO. 2009-043 “BROOKS STREET-MOUNT TO HIGGINS CURB AND SIDEWALK UP GRADES” WHEREAS, the City of Missoula has been approved to receive $240,000 of funding from HB645 designated for use to design and construct City Project No. 2009-043 “Brooks Street-Mount to Higgins Curb and Sidewalk Improvements;” and WHEREAS, the purpose of this project install new curbs and sidewalks on Brooks Street between Mount and Higgins; and WHEREAS, the HB645 funds in combination with MDT contributions will fund the project including the described amenities; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Missoula City Council to authorize the Mayor to accept and sign for the HB645 funds and direct staff to utilize the funds for said project on behalf of the City of Missoula. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Missoula, Montana that the Mayor of Missoula is hereby authorized and directed to accept the $240,000 HB645 grant on behalf of the City of Missoula and sign all documents related to the grant and utilize the funds for Project No. 2009-043 “Brooks Street-Mount to Higgins Curb and Sidewalk Improvements;” and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is hereby directed to proceed with the steps necessary to implement the project as described, subject to the approval of the City Council.
