Streetscape improvements include items such as sidewalk instalation and upgrades, landscaping, and street clorsures where small triangles have been formed due to irregular street configuration, etc.. In past years the MRA has partnered with the Public Works department to include street amenities in conjunction with larger street projects. Through wthis CIP item, MRA will continue to provide funds for streetscape improvements within URD III. Instructions For Explanation of Criteria) Qualitative Analysis Comments Project Rating Project Title: URD III Streetscape Improvements Reinvestment in the URD III area is the major focus of effforts to revitalize the District. Quantitative Analysis Comments Because streetscape projects are such a visible form of reinvestment in the area, they tend to serve as a catalyst for private investment. This project is 100% leveraged using tax increment funds. If, as in the past, funds are used in partnership with another department, timing would be a factor and speedy implementation may be necessary.
