City of Missoula, Montana Item to be Referred to City Council Committee Committee: Public Works Committee Item: Updates on ARRA and HB 645 Projects Date: November 6, 2009 Prepared by: Jessica Miller Initiated by: Steve King Action Required: Information item to present updates on projects funded by ARRA and HB 645. Recommended Motion: None Timeline: Referral to committee: November 9, 2009 Committee discussion: November 18, 2009 and/or November 25, 2009 Background and Alternatives Explored: The City has multiple projects that have received federal stimulus funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), and also has projects funded through Montana’s House Bill 645 (HB 645). The City Council previously authorized the Mayor to sign and approve various contracts associated with these projects to facilitate completion by the deadlines. Staff will update the Council on the status of each project. 1. North Higgins Streetscape. 2. Rattlesnake Gateway. 3. ARRA and HB 645 ADA ramps. 4. HB 645 Brooks curbs: Mount to Higgins bike lanes. Financial Implications: Receipt of ARRA and HB 645 funds. Attachments: None
