ADDENDUM NO.1 TO BID PROPOSAL AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR THE PLAYFAIR PARK SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS - CITY OF MISSOULA CTEP PROJECT PROJECT NO: STPE 8199(86) MDT CONTROL NO: 6764 NOVEMBER 23, 2009 In accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS of the Contract Documents, the following revisions, additions, deletions and clarifications shall become part of the Contract documents, and bidders shall acknowledge receipt of this addendum on form "ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RECEIPT OF ADDENDUM" contained in the contract documents. Bid will be considered non-responsive and rejected if receipt of each addendum is not acknowledged. The following list consists of one addendum and three informational items. ITEM NO.1 (addendum) The Right-of-Way permit fee from the City of Missoula is $864. This will be the oniy permit required for the project. ITEM NO.2 (addendum) Item A-11 , o/.i" Minus Crushed Base Course for Sidewalks, the correct thickness should be 4" rather than 3" so the thickness refiects the City of Missoula standard specifications. ITEM NO.4 (information) The moving of any fence along the path is incidental to the job. ITEM NO.5 (information) At the pre-bid conference that from Station 2+00 to Station 8+00 it was discussed that the contractor had the option to pin a form on the asphalt at the face of sidewalk. We want to remove this option and stick with the plans which call for a 2' saw-cut and patch back with complete removal of the asphalt under the proposed sidewalk. ITEM NO.6 (information) The "No Motor Vehicles" sign size has been changed. The new sign is 16"x16" rather than the g"xg" that is currently shown on the details. ITEM NO.7 (information) The trail alignment from Station 20+00 to 20+75 will be adjusted to avoid the existing wooden fence. A work change directive will be issued for this once construction has begun. ITEM NO.8 (information) The existing sump to be abandoned (STA 21 +25) may be filled with an engineer approved backfill such as 1.5" drain rock, pea gravel, or sand.
