Recommended Motion: I move the City Council pass a resolution approving disposal of a 1979 Mack Fire Engine. Timeline: Referral to committee: October 21, 2009 Committee discussion: October 28, 2009 (or later) Council Action: November 2nd, 2009 (tentative) Background and Alternatives Explored: The Missoula Fire Department has taken a 1979 Mack Fire Engine (Last 4 VIN#1994) out of service. It is our intent to advertise the engine for sale and accept bids. Financial Implications: While the value of used fire apparatus varies greatly, MFD's Maintenance Division has estimated this engine may receive bids as high as $10,000. Attachments: Surplus resolution
